Shanayah Renois-Thompson, MAT
Student Success Specialist
Shanayah Renois-Thompson is a New York State dual-certified educator holding certifications in Childhood Education (Grades 1–6), Students with Disabilities (Grades 1–6), and pending Students with Disabilities (Pre-K–12, All Grades). She earned her bachelor's degrees in Africana Studies and Political Science from Binghamton University before completing her Master of Arts in Teaching at New York University.
Entering her fourth year as a classroom teacher and with over 11 years of tutoring experience, Shanayah specializes in early literacy, writing, foundational mathematics, and developing automaticity in core academic skills. Having taught extensively in the primary and elementary grades (K–4), she understands the critical role that strong foundational instruction plays in long-term academic success.
Her educational philosophy centers on cultivating independent thinkers rather than passive learners. Instead of simply providing answers, Shanayah guides students in examining their own work, identifying errors, and developing the confidence to problem-solve independently. She believes children learn most deeply when they actively participate in constructing their own understanding while being supported with thoughtful guidance and engaging, hands-on materials.
Through every lesson, Shanayah seeks to foster analytical thinking, intellectual curiosity, creativity, confidence, and a genuine love of learning. Her goal is to equip students with a strong academic foundation and independent learning habits that will serve them well throughout their educational journey.
Xaire Boston
Student Success Specialist
Xaire is a dedicated mathematics educator with 6 years of classroom teaching experience, working with students from Grade 5 through high school Geometry. She also has over 12 years of one-on-one tutoring experience, helping students build strong math skills and confidence.
She is certified in New York State to teach Mathematics (Grades 7–12) with a Grades 5–6 extension and is currently completing her Master's degree in Mathematics Adolescent Education.
Specializing in Algebra and Geometry, Xaire is skilled at identifying exactly where students are struggling by analyzing their work and assessment data. She then creates targeted lessons, practice materials, and learning activities that fill learning gaps and help students develop a deeper understanding of math concepts.
Xaire believes every student learns differently. She designs engaging, personalized lessons that incorporate hands-on activities, visual models, and digital tools to make math more meaningful and approachable. Her goal is to help students think critically, solve problems in multiple ways, and become confident, independent learners.
She also has extensive experience preparing students for quizzes, standardized tests, and Regents exams. Whether a student needs ongoing support, help mastering a difficult concept, or test preparation, Xaire is committed to helping them build the skills and confidence needed for long-term success.
