The Program

Academic Enrichment Program

Ages 5 to 8 Tuesday to Thursday 9:00 AM to 2:45 PM September to June

At Bright 'Lites Academy, we believe meaningful learning happens when students are seen, challenged, and supported in smaller learning environments. Our programs are intentionally designed with small-group instruction to ensure every child receives individualized attention, stronger academic support, and meaningful opportunities to actively participate.

Unlike traditional tutoring programs that focus solely on remediation, BLA blends foundational academics with enrichment experiences that help students develop both strong academic habits and real-world skills. From literacy, math, science, writing, language studies, and cursive to entrepreneurship, art, and project-based learning, students are exposed to a well-rounded educational experience that encourages both mastery and creativity.

With structured instruction, hands-on learning, parent communication tools, and programs designed to prepare students for future leadership opportunities, BLA equips learners with the confidence, discipline, and practical skills needed to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Curriculum

What We Teach

At Bright 'Lites Academy, we take an interdisciplinary approach to learning that balances foundational academics, creative expression, and real-world skill development. Our curriculum is intentionally designed to meet students where they are while exposing them to disciplines that encourage confidence, curiosity, and independent thinking.

Students rotate through structured literacy activities designed to strengthen reading fluency, comprehension, vocabulary development, writing mechanics, penmanship, and critical thinking. Instruction is differentiated to support varying reading levels while helping students become stronger readers, writers, and communicators.

BLA's signature interdisciplinary curriculum introduces students to real-world concepts through hands-on learning, critical thinking, speed math fluency, collaborative projects, and meaningful discussions. Each month, scholars explore a new theme designed to expand their worldview, strengthen problem-solving skills, and connect academic learning to real-life application.

Through The Bright 'Lites Method™, students are challenged to think deeply, create intentionally, and engage with big ideas in ways that are both developmentally appropriate and unforgettable.

Students are introduced to foundational French vocabulary, conversational phrases, pronunciation, and cultural exposure through engaging activities that make language learning approachable and enjoyable.
We believe social development is an essential part of childhood learning. Each day, scholars participate in a dedicated lunch and social development block where they have time to build friendships, practice communication skills, strengthen conflict resolution, and engage in healthy peer interaction outside of structured academics. During warmer months, scholars enjoy supervised outdoor play in our backyard space, while colder months include structured indoor play centers that encourage creativity, collaboration, and active play.
Students are introduced to foundational coding concepts, digital problem-solving, and technology-based projects that help them develop logical thinking and digital literacy skills in an increasingly tech-driven world.
